Welcome to the Jane Addams School website. Our school serves predominantly Hispanic children from the Southeast Side community of Chicago in Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 8.

Jane Addams is fully recognized by the Illinois State Board of Education. Our school consists of three smaller schools divided by grade levels: a Primary School (Pre-K-2), Intermediate school (3-5) and a Middle School (6-8).

Addams's success is due to the outstanding commitment from parents, school personnel, students, Local School Council and community members. We follow our motto "We Enter to Learn - We Leave to Achieve," and we can truly say that like eagles (our mascot) we will soar and achieve to unlimited heights.

Our school has become the center of the Southeast Side offering computer, parenting and health classes to adults. This is in addition to increased after school and evening activities for students.

Addams has been visited by notables such as: the former First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton, Mayor Daley, Paul Vallas, U. S. Senator Jeffords, Congressman Weller, and Liz Knwales, Department of Libraries in Scotland.
